Bali Time works without an account. Conversion amounts, saved travel settings, phrasebook searches, and saved air history stay on your device. The app does not include advertising or an advertising SDK.
Data handled by the app
The developer does not receive your name, email address, conversion amounts, device location, or payment-card details. Air-quality and weather providers receive the fixed center coordinates of the general place that you select. The developer can see subscription events tied to an anonymous app customer identifier. The developer does not sell personal data.
Data stored on your device
The app stores selected currencies, price units, multiplier setting, last valid rates and dates, time zones, times, phrasebook search and category choices, selected air places, the name of the nearest included place after you use Near me, cached air readings, onboarding status, limited counters for Apple's review prompt, and Premium entitlement status supplied by RevenueCat from Apple's purchase records. Delete the app to remove its local settings and saved air history.
Time conversion
The app reads the time zone selected in your device settings. The Time tab does not use device location. Your selected locations, dates, and times stay on your device.
Phrases and translation
The 100 English and Indonesian travel phrases are stored in the app. Phrase searches and category choices stay on your device.
On iOS 18 or later, Premium live translation uses Apple's Translation framework and language models. The developer does not operate a translation server and does not receive the text that you enter or the translated result. Your device can contact Apple to check, download, or update a required language model. Apple's privacy policy applies to Apple's service.
Exchange-rate requests
The app requests a daily reference rate from the Frankfurter API when it loads, returns to the foreground, or when you tap the rate status. The request contains USD and your selected travel currency. It does not contain your conversion amount, name, email address, or an app account identifier.
Frankfurter states that its public service runs behind Cloudflare. Cloudflare can process basic technical information for service operation and analytics. Frankfurter and Cloudflare control their own retention and security practices.
Air-quality requests
The Weather tab uses a place from the included Indonesia list. By default, opening Weather reads your device position once to pick the closest included place, with when-in-use permission that you can decline or later revoke in Settings. If location is unavailable, the default is Ubud. Select a place manually to stop automatic selection, or tap Near me to enable it again. The app compares your position with the fixed list, remembers only the name of the closest place, and does not store, log, or send your position. It does not track location in the background.
When you open or refresh the Weather tab, the app sends the selected place identifier, such as Jakarta or Medan, to a developer-operated Cloudflare Worker. The Worker converts that identifier to fixed center coordinates for the selected place and requests current, forecast, and historical pollution data from the Google Maps Air Quality API.
The request does not contain your name, email address, an app account identifier, conversion amounts, phrase text, or precise device location. Cloudflare can process your IP address, the selected general place, and basic technical request information. Google receives the fixed place coordinates and Worker request information. These providers can process this information to provide, secure, and monitor their services. The developer does not write air requests to an account or application database.
Successful Worker responses that contain current conditions and forecasts can remain in Cloudflare's shared cache for no more than one hour. Current conditions and forecasts can remain in the app's local cache for no more than one hour so that they work briefly while offline. The app then removes the forecast and moves the last current reading into recent history. Historical readings can remain in the Worker and the app's local cache so that recent context is available offline. Delete the app to remove that local history.
The Weather tab displays the required Google Maps attribution. Google's privacy policy, Google Maps Platform Terms of Service, and Google Maps Platform Service Specific Terms apply to this service.
Weather requests
On iOS 16 or later, the Weather tab shows current weather and hourly and daily forecasts for the selected place from Apple Weather through Apple's WeatherKit framework. The request contains the fixed center coordinates of the selected place, not your device position. Apple receives that request and basic technical request information under Apple's privacy policy. The app keeps the last weather snapshot for each place in memory only, for no more than three hours, and does not write it to disk. The Weather tab displays the Apple Weather mark and a link to Apple's weather data sources.
Purchases and offer codes
Premium purchases and offer-code redemptions use Apple's StoreKit service. Apple processes the purchase, payment, subscription, offer-code, and Apple Account information. The developer does not receive your payment-card details. Apple's privacy policy applies.
The app uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore Premium access, and keep Premium access current across devices. RevenueCat receives an app-generated anonymous customer identifier and purchase or subscription history. The app does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, conversion amounts, saved currencies, or saved time locations. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Service providers and data protection
The developer uses Apple, RevenueCat, Frankfurter, Cloudflare, and Google Maps Platform only to provide purchases, entitlements, translation models, weather, exchange rates, and air-quality information. The developer requires these providers to protect the data that they process at least as carefully as this policy describes and does not allow them to use Bali Time data for developer-operated advertising or data sales. Each provider also applies its own published privacy policy and retention rules.
Retention, deletion, and choices
Settings and historical air readings stored on your device remain until you change them, the system clears a cache, or you delete the app. The developer does not keep a server copy of those settings or a database of user activity. The Worker can retain Google historic air values by fixed place so that users share one data cache. Apple and RevenueCat keep purchase and entitlement records for service operation, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal requirements under their own retention rules. Frankfurter, Cloudflare, and Google can retain basic request records under their own policies.
You can cancel a subscription in your App Store account. You can stop future app data processing by deleting the app. To request access to or deletion of data controlled by the developer, email the address below. Because the app has no account, the developer can ask for information that is needed to locate an anonymous purchase record. The developer cannot delete records controlled only by Apple or another provider, but can direct you to that provider. The app has no advertising or tracking consent to revoke.
Advertising and tracking
The app does not show advertising, include an advertising SDK, request App Tracking Transparency permission, or track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
This policy can change if the app's data practices change. The effective date will change when an update is published.
